About The CMRC

David and Erma Hunt are the founders of the Christian Missions Resource Center. They have lived in the Orlando area since 1974. David and Erma have been partners in Christian ministry since 1977. They formed New Life Counselors, Inc. in 1978, and have led many House Church fellowships over the years.

Missions Discovery

While traveling throughout the USA, David and Erma began to realize that God’s plan to evangelize the whole world is a priority that most of the Church has greatly neglected. The Lord has now called them to be missions mobilizers. The information that they have been receiving about Christ's Global Mission over the years has motivated them to start the Christian Missions Resource Center in Orlando, with the hope that Christians in other cities will do the same. The Body of Christ everywhere needs to learn more about what God is doing on planet earth.

Basic Bible School

David is teaching Basic Bible lessons to new Christians, and David and Erma are helping Christians have "Open Church" meetings in their homes, like we read about in the Book of Acts. Then missions study is the next step.

Basic Missions Study

Once a student has understood that God's mission is the basis for the Bible, a genuine interest in World Mission develops, and that's where the Christian Missions Resource Center comes in. The CMRC is a missions mobilization ministry where Christians can start getting involved with God's Son in His mission in earth. This information will reveal the many opportunities that we all have to be part of God's plan to "fill the earth with His glory".

Jesus’ Last Commands

Before He ascended into Heaven, Jesus gave His disciples what the Church calls the "Great Commission". Actually it was and still is a commandment to "Go and teach all nations" and "preach the gospel to every creature". That's a missionary mandate from God.

The Holy Ghost

Ten days after His ascension into Heaven, Jesus sent the Holy Ghost (at Pentecost) to empower the Church to fulfill His commands. The book of Acts tells us about how our Lord worked with His apostles and disciples to carry out His mission on earth.

The Unfinished Task

But the task was not finished in the first century. Much has been accomplished toward the goal of world evangelization in the last 2,000 years, but much is yet to be accomplished, and the Church needs to hear about both the accomplishments and the needs. The CMRC is a place where Christians can learn about Christ's Global Mission and borrow or purchase books, tapes, videos, etc. and learn how to obtain some of the vast information that is available about what God is doing on planet earth today.

Reference Library

A research and reference library is available for Bible students and missionary candidates to use in their search for God's direction. There are computers connected to the internet for those who would like to learn how to surf the internet for missions information. Pastors and leaders are encouraged to come and see the available resources, and learn how they can obtain the same resources for their own church libraries.

All Purpose Room

There is also an all purpose room which is used for small group Bible studies, Open Church fellowships, and sharing as the Lord leads; like the Church did in the Book of Acts. It is also used as a Worship Room; for people who want to learn how to acknowledge God's presence, worship Him, and receive His direction. Jesus says that God the Father is seeking people who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. This room is used for that purpose. The room is also available for viewing videos of some of the most interesting mission work in the world, along with some excellent teaching videos offered by experienced mission personnel.

Lending Library

Another room is a lending library where people can sit and read some of the best books about missions available today, and/or check them out to read at home.
